Plus, it's a slick looking machine on your counter.
We got this for free -woohoo!
The ice maker in my refrigerator broke several months ago. I've been using ice trays. I'd have to empty the ice trays twice a day into a ice bucket.I didn't know you could play old 33, 45, and 78s and download to a cd through your computer. My husband saw the Fry's Electronic ad this morning and saw this record player for only $79. He wants me to go through the 5,000 45s he bought Saturday and download favorite ones.
Seems like all his wants causes a lot of work for me. ummm no one has answered my ad on craigslist: Free Husband
** If you buy this, it does NOT tell you on the box that you have to have "amplified" speakers. Most people do not have an amplifier hooked up to their computers. The connection in this unit is not the correct one used to connect a amplified speaker too. (It has to have one red and one white on each end).
I happened to have the correct connectors. I connected this to my small Aiwa stereo. It works fine this way.
After my husband crashed my computer, I tried to restore it but it crashed again. I went out and bought a new one. It's a Gateway too. They have changed so much in 6 years. I didn't understand any of the terminology. 8 this, and quad that, and 750 something else is what I bought.
All my pictures are gone for good this time. Everything that was on this blog was saved - everything else is gone. Oh my!
It has a hookup for a plasma tv along with running the monitor. You can hookup a camcorder, and any type of camera and other things I haven't figured out yet right to the front of it. Woohoo - time to go shopping!
**Special Note: I've been using this for a month now. I really like this one except for 1. I had to uninstall the Norton 360. It blocked any pictures, movie, music on the internet. When I uninstalled it - my computer "crashed." It's ok now. I had to install Java. Now I get the pictures, movies, etc. 2. The screensaver program doesn't work. And AOL does not stay on if I leave the computer. I haven't figured out how to solve these problems yet.
Do you remember just a couple weeks ago my washing machine broke and I was propping it together with 2 2X4s? The warranty had run out and I had to have it repaired twice since then.... well, Sunday it broke again for good! Monday, my husband and I went to Sears and bought a top loading GE Profile HydroWave.
When we bought this house three years ago, I bought all new appliances. I had bought the new Frigidaire front loading HE washer and dryer set. It was nothing but problem after problem. I went back to a top loading washer.
My husband had done a lot of research on the computer to find the "perfect" washer. That one had all positive responses. So that is the one we got. I am just happy I don't have to use a wash board :)
*** Day Two - I had a lot of laundry waiting to be washed. This is my 10th load and so far I really like this washer. 1. It is as quiet as they say! 2. The tub, even though it is the same size as the front load washer I had, seems to fit more clothes in it. 3. No more bending to get the clothes out of the tub. 4. The spin cycle works great. I don't seem to have to dry the clothes for as long as the other one. 5. It was less $$ than that front loader and works better! They say if mama's happy everyone's happy. I'm happy.
I'm using my HE detergent in it. I have four bottles of it in the pantry left over from the front load HE we just got rid of. It seems to work ok.
**Special Note: I've had this washer for over a month now. I really like it! It is quiet. It washed my king size bed comforter with no problem. I can't wait until the Frigidaire dryer breaks again. I'll go out and buy the matching dryer to this GE.

My husband took Saturday off. We got up early and went out to find the bargains of the day at yard sales. It's something we both enjoying doing. He found this Thanes Flavor Ware Deluxe Oven. He told me he had seen one in an infomercial. For $20 he bought it.
