N is for Nursing

My seventeen and a half year old cat Si is not doing well. This last weekend I got a call at 1:30 in the morning. They asked me if I had a siamese cat named Si. I said yes. (He has tags with his name and my phone number) They said .... we found him in the middle of the road over by the hiway. He was just sitting there. The people were concerned that he might get hit.
I said I'd be right there.
Si.... who NEVER wanders away from the house, had "walked" down the street, rounded the corner and was heading for the hiway. I drove down and picked him up. I don't know if he was in a cat fight??? His face was swollen and he was limping. That is extremely NOT like Si.
I've been trying to Nurse him back. Bandit has been trying to help too. He is very old and I don't think he's going to make it :::heavy sigh:::
I'm going to take a break from blogging :(

Prayers are headed your way, Deedee. Pets are with us all too briefly, and become like a member of the family.

So sorry to hear about Si, sweetheart. I know your doing the best you can for him.

We lost our Sally and I couldn't even blog about it. She had been in a few posts and everyone loved her. Then she suddenly died a few days later. I found her in the rocking chair on the porch. She looked so peaceful I thought she was sleeping. She was fairly young an had no signs of trauma. I don't know what happended. It is so heartbreaking when you've come to depend on their very presence.

Big hugs, and prayers for kitty.
Dawn

I am so sorry to hear of this with your baby. Sometimes with cats, they also know the end is near and try to leave the home.
possibly trying to save you some heartbreak.
I hope Si is feeling better and can enjoy his days with his family.
